Draft, last updated October 2026.

The short version

Your jobs, customers and photos are kept on your own phone first. If you sign in, a copy is also kept in your account so you can sync and recover it. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we hold

• Your account: your email address and sign-in details.
• Your records: the customers, properties, certificates, invoices, photos and signatures you enter. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold your customers' details. For your customers, you are the data controller and we process the data on your behalf.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Feedback: anything you send us through the Send feedback form, and the app version and screen it came from.

Reminder emails

If an engineer turns on automatic reminders, we send their customers an email about their annual gas safety check or boiler service when it is due. The email is sent on the engineer's behalf from reminders@ombgas.com, uses the customer's name, address and due date, and has an unsubscribe link. Anyone who unsubscribes is added to a list of addresses that are never emailed again. The engineer is responsible for having a good reason to contact their customers, which is normally an existing customer relationship. Emails are sent using Resend.

Where it is kept

Account data is stored with Supabase, and payments are handled by Stripe. Emails are sent through Resend. These providers may process data outside the UK under standard safeguards. Website files are served from GitHub Pages.

How long

We keep your data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we will delete your stored records. Backup files you make yourself are kept by you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Email support@ombgas.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
